After much of our waiting Rockstar has finally brought the most awaited game, Grand Theft Auto III for App Store for celebrating its 10th anniversary. Today’s technology has grown so immensely enhanced that you can actually play a game that was once believed only to be only played on computer.

But is this game same interesting as the previous one are? Well yes but only if you are comfy with touch screen. If you don’t know what GTA is, let me tell you that GTA is like world of sandbox what Games like God of War is to action adventure category and Halo is to shooters. The GTA III has brought great new features and innovation setting its predecessor a thing of the past. The game starts with you thrown into Liberty City a crime ridden city. After being deceived and jailed you are left with no money you are bound to do missions related to crime to make money. The story is R-rated and the characters of it are nicely crafted and even the voices are well acted.

We didn’t like the touch controls of the game that much as there are many controls for the PC, PS3 and Xbox versions but this is such small things and how can so many controls fits into one screen?

You control your players movement by touching anywhere on the left side. Different virtual buttons such as jump, sprint accelerate, attack, brake, reverse and other functions too. Swiping on the middle changes the screen view use the corner for functioning of mini-map and weapons. You will find the touch controls amazing but it gets worse as you get into a combat mode. The auto-targets mechanics are not too good as half of the time you will concentrate on the camera angle instead of enemy. While you are on a mission expect to touch controls that you didn’t mean to operate. This is because of the controls that placed so closely together. Keeping all these cons apart from the game has amazing gameplay, once you are thru with all these controls the game get more and more interesting.

Coming to the gameplay the game is not as good as San Andreas but the real fun in the GTA III is the variety of things you can play with in the game, like choosing various missions, completing the Ambulance, Vigilante and Taxi missions or just hang around the map and steal a car and drive rampant or pick a fight with the pedestrians walking near you. As the story progress in the game you get more heavy weapons and advanced police running after you for the crimes you have committed. Sometimes expect a full military force after you. I have been playing GTA since Vice City was announced on PC and ever since I have been using cheat codes for health, weapon, armor, etc. but this GTA has no cheats to play with. I mean I loved running the Rhino and blasting cars and military vehicles.

We didn’t find the graphics that great but its okay on average terms. However the notifications are really nice now. You can listen to Radio Stations like in other GTA games.

Overall it’s a nice game that can be played for hours if you manage press its controls correctly. The game is available on App Store for iPhone versions for sum of $5 so don’t miss out this game.
