HTC And Other Android Devices Might Be Banned In US From 2012
News — By Naveen Vaidhya on December 12, 2011 at 2:15 pmIt seems that HTC is under some trouble in US. The United States International Trade Commission found that the tech company guilty for invading Apple’s patents and also has banned the sales and import in Android devices and sales in USA.

The patents includes the feature of iOS devices wherein the other devices can go through the text message and separate the URLs, map locations, phone numbers and turn it into clickable links so that the respected apps will be launched.
Even HTC is using this thing in their phones however Android is also a part of the OS and HTC has been using Android since the launch of v1.5 and as Google doesn’t officially sell Android OS, Apple Inc. cannot sue Google an therefore it will be the OEM and that will be HTC.
And with this Apple now can go after other devices that have Android in it who have been using Android 1.5 till 2.2. The only thing HTC can do is removing the feature from their phone.
Meanwhile HTC has said that they will be removing the feature from their devices. Doing this means sell and import of the device will be again back to normal. But they have to do it before 19 April 2012 and to do this they will need a good backup from their carriers.
