The first version of Tizen was launched by Linux Foundation. The handheld Blog at the 2012 Tizen Developer Conference stated that a prototype handset for Tizen operating system was provided by Samsung. Intel and Linux Foundation have teamed up for the purpose of working on Tizen. By base, Moblin and Maemo mobile open source OS were allied to make MeeGo. With time, MeeGo development efforts were transformed into Tizen.
This device has features like 1.2GHz ARM mobile processor and a 4.3 inch touchscreen display. The user interface on Tizen lacks animations and transitions and has polished appearance. Being the first version, this device definitely does not house much app.
Buyers are expected to be able to buy the first version of Tizen OS in the latter half of 2012.
